Slowgram is built on the belief that social media should be quiet, intentional, and private. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

Email address — used to create your account and send a one-time verification code.
Phone number — used for account creation and to help you find friends on Slowgram who are already using the app.
Profile photo — uploaded by you and stored securely. Only your mutual friends can see it.
Posts and content — photos and text you choose to share. Visible only to your mutual friends.
Contact list — accessed only with your explicit permission, used only to find which of your contacts are already on Slowgram. Your contacts are never stored on our servers or shared with any third party.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account
To send a one-time account verification email
To help you find friends who use Slowgram
To show your posts to your mutual friends

We never sell your data. We never use your data for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles.

3. Data Storage

All data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure located in the United States.

Photos and media — Amazon S3
Account and profile data — Amazon DynamoDB
Authentication — Amazon Cognito
Transactional email — Amazon SES

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to operate the service (AWS infrastructure listed above) or as required by law.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

Slowgram is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email.
