Slowgram is built on the belief that social media should be quiet, intentional, and private. This policy is provided by The Slowgram LLC ("Slowgram," "we"). It explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

• Email address — used to create your account and send verification and password reset codes.
• Phone number — used for account creation and to help you find friends on Slowgram who are already using the app.
• Profile photo and background photo — uploaded by you and stored securely. Only your mutual friends can see them.
• Posts and content — photos and text you choose to share. Visible only to your mutual friends.
• Contact list — accessed only with your explicit permission, used only to find which of your contacts are already on Slowgram. Your contacts are never stored on our servers or shared with any third party.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To send account verification and password reset emails
• To help you find friends who use Slowgram
• To show your posts to your mutual friends

We never sell your data. We never use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles. We collect limited usage analytics (such as which features are used and how often the app is opened) solely to operate, secure, and improve Slowgram — never for advertising or sale, and never shared with data brokers.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure located in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption methods.

We use a third-party email delivery service to send account verification and password reset emails. This service receives only your email address for this purpose and does not use it for any other purpose.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (cloud infrastructure and email delivery) or as required by applicable law or valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

6. Data Portability

You may request a copy of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below. We will provide your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Children's Privacy

Slowgram is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of Slowgram after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
